The Eisen Audio DIY500 mkII Minimal Kit provides you with the framework upon which to build one of countless preamp permutations. Choose from any of 45 discrete op amps, more than 50 unique input transformers, and at least 14 different output transformers to install on the DIY500 printed circuit board. Our kit gives you the means to turn these devices into a stellar-sounding preamp, with an unprecedented amount of ease and adaptability. Best of all, its convenient modular format fits* API™ 500 Series lunchboxes and racks, which supply the necessary power and input/output connectors. (Compatible enclosures are made by A-Designs, Avedis, BAE, Buzz, Purple, and Empirical Labs.)

*Though it is not possible to achieve approval for such a highly variable product, the DIY500 mkII does conform mechanically to API™ VPR Alliance specifications.

Please Note: This is not a complete kit; it includes only the proprietary components which you can't buy elsewhere. Granted, the DIY500 mkII Minimal Kit is not recommended for first-time DIYers. In addtion to soldering a PCB, the builder is also required to purchase the transformers, op amps, and passive components (e.g. resistors and capacitors) with which to populate it. Customers may contact us for configuration recommendations (a subsequent list of appropriate component values can be given once you've placed your order), however, the price of a DIY500 mkII Minimal Kit only covers the included parts, and does not entitle you to any other form of unpaid consultation or support. In other words, please do not barrage us with subsequent questions regarding kit completion!
